I~I is a creative think tank, the brainchild of Beaudacious / G.C.”B” Laney, the Founder of BackStreeT Galleries, HEAL INC / (Heritage Empowered Arts Legacy a 501 c 3, tax exempt corporation) and the California Blues Preservation Society. Although BackStreeT Galleries no longer exist as its’ own entity it has spawned three distinct entities: IMAGIOVATION International, a diverse multi-cultural organization focusing on the need for the Arts too help HEAL Humanity in the public forum; H.E.A.L. > Heritage Empowered Arts Legacy Inc. preserving Historical & Cultural Artistic Legacies and presenting cultural artistic programs & products that will EMPOWER, EDUCATE and INSPIRE our YOUTH; and the California Blues Preservation Society presenting “BLUES, American Root Music, an African American Art Form born in the Delta. Since its conception in 2000, I~I along with HEAL Inc and the California Blues Preservation Society have presented numerous fine art exhibits, performing arts showcases, cultural arts festivals, and community service programs throughout the Los Angeles area. These events were sponsored with the help of the City of Los Angeles, Cultural Affairs Department, and various Foreign Embassies.
Imagiovation International > I~I through BackStreeT Galleries has had many ethnicities, such as the Polish, Greek, Korean, German, and Cuban communities and their Consulates, present their cultural diversity and pageantry through cultural arts festivals at BackStreeT. Through the California Blues Preservation Society numerous Blues and Jazz musicians, who are considered living legends i.e.(Blues singer Linda Hopkins & Jazz pianist Gerald Wiggins) were showcased and performed to standing room only crowds at BackStreeT or one of the City owned performing arts venues. Unlike the traditional art institutions we believe art institutions should be a vital and active partner in the community. With that realization we’ve housed and funded the West Los Angeles Jeopardy Program in conjunction with the West Los Angeles Community Police Department that mentored youths at risk in the value of self esteem, family, values and community involvement thru the martial arts and fine arts. We provided Holistic Art classes attempted to bring together the healing powers of the mind, body and spirit.
